IBA is short for the International Bioeocnomy Association. It is a non-profit, non-governmental international organization founded and operated in accordance with international practices.
The first five years of operation costs and office rental have been funded by enterprises, funds for the next five years will be raised through service activities such as exhibitions and consultations, and IBA may continue to seek donations from the public. Note: IBA co-initiators bear no financial obligations.
IBA aims to foster international cooperation and communication in biotechnology, expedite the development of bio-economy, promote human health, alleviate global food deficit, improve ecological environment, and make its due contributions to the sustainable development of mankind.
IBA’s strategic priorities include policy research, standards research, information sharing, talent cultivation and large conferences like BioEco.
IBA strives to serve the interests of the whole world by bringing bio-economic benefits to more countries, regions, and a larger population.
IBA co-initiators are mainly internationally renowned academic institutions, industrial associations and enterprises.
Each co-initiator is entitled to: recommend one vice chairman who will be provided free board and lodging during the meeting in China; recommend management personnel once IBA is formally established; and enjoy free access to relevant research reports.
