Hosted jointly by Peking University’s China Center for Strategic Studies, the Academy of Chinese Health Risks of West China Hospital, International Green Economy Association and China Society of Territorial Economists in Beijing on Sept. 28, 2023, the World Science and Technology Security Forum engaged renowned scholars and experts in exploring paths to protect world’s sci-tech security.

Cheng Jinpei, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and former Deputy Director of the Ministry of Science and Technology highlighted the penetration of digital economy into various aspects of people’s life. He made it clear that sci-tech security is crucial to economic innovation and sustainable development of human society.
Shang Yong, Deputy Director of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sport stressed the importance of enhancing and upgrading key and emerging technologies including cloud computing, supercomputing, AI and quantum information.
Wang Hongguang, Executive Director Of Peking University’s China Center for Strategic Studies demanded devoted efforts to ensure sci-tech security in the secondary industry and build China into a manufacturing powerhouse by promoting industrial science and technology revolution.
