2020 Summit Forum on China’s Economic Quality Gap held in Beijing

On March 13, 2021, the 2020 Summit Forum on China’s Economic Quality Gap was held jointly by the China Society of Territorial Economists, Peking University’s China Center for Strategic Studies, Institute of National Governance Studies, Peking University and Moganshan Institute of Zhejiang University of Technology in Beijing Friendship Hotel jointly.

Convened by Fang Li, Honorary Director of the China Center for Strategic Studies and former Deputy Director of the Central Policy Research Office, the forum highlighted discussions on enhancing economic potential analysis of tangible and intangible assets, coordinating the connection between manufacturing and the third industry, intensifying research on economic function districts and narrowing the economic gap through development of bioeconomy and other new forms of economy.

Professor Wang Hongguang, Deputy Director of China Society of Territorial Economists Expert Committee introduced the 2020 China’s Economic Quality Gap Report and shed light on some major conclusions in his recently published book Gap Economics. “The US has been tried in every possible way to slow down China’s revitalization. China should gather the strength of the whole society of fill up Second Largest Economy Trap.
